Intended audience:

Systematic reviewers, editors and others interested in policy-relevant reviews

The meeting will discuss materials designed to support systematic reviewers and policy makers collaborating during the production of systematic reviews to enhance their relevance to policy, particularly health systems as commonly addressed by EPOC, Consumers and Communication and other review groups. The aim is to align the motivations of policy makers and systematic review teams in terms of urgency and generalizability of products, and support their mutual engagement with formalised procedures and structures. Materials in development help systematic reviewers and policy makers clarify the drivers for specific reviews and the institutional mechanisms that can support engagement between systematic reviewers and policy makers to maximise policy relevance of reviews in various circumstances.
