Editors of the Methods Reader on Evidence Synthesis for Health Systems

The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, a partnership housed within WHO, is developing a new publication entitled Evidence Synthesis for Health Systems: A Methods Reader. The latter aims to support the development of health systems research (HSR) synthesis approaches, perspectives and methods, as well as to promote the uptake of evidence synthesis into health systems strengthening and health policy decision making processes. Specific objectives of the Reader are to: 1) provide succinct information and guidance on the key features of and approaches to HSR synthesis; 2) showcase examples of well conducted and innovative HSR evidence syntheses that span different methods and questions; and 3) support the strengthening of the quality and conduct of HSR systematic reviews. This meeting is the occasion for the Methods Reader’s editors to meet and discuss the content and development of the publication.
